Position Overview

A leading technology manufacturer is seeking an experienced
Electronics Engineer
to work on the design, development, and optimisation of portable power systems and communication solutions. You will be involved in the full product lifecycle, from concept through to production, delivering innovative solutions across battery technologies, chargers, DC power products, and communication equipment.

This position is ideal for an engineer with strong technical design capability, hands-on troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams and customers.

Key Responsibilities

Design & Development

  • Analyse communications requirements and determine installation specifications, layouts, and transmission mediums.
  • Develop signal processing algorithms and implement them in hardware and software.
  • Design, develop, and test electrical and electronic equipment, including portable power and battery systems.
  • Create new circuit designs to meet specific customer requirements.
  • Design and optimise battery cells, packs, and charger systems for performance and manufacturability.
  • Update existing designs to improve efficiency and reliability.
  • Build prototypes for feasibility testing and customer trials.

Testing & Optimisation

  • Conduct R&D for new battery, charger, and DC power products.
  • Perform and document lab inspections, product testing, and fault analysis.
  • Support manufacturing with design-for-production improvements.
  • Evaluate battery-device integration for power, charging, and communication functions.

Collaboration & Delivery

  • Work with suppliers to define specifications and assess emerging technologies.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to design new systems or enhance existing ones.
  • Liaise with clients to discuss proposals, specifications, and feasibility.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and industry standards.

Research & Continuous Improvement

  • Lead investigations into new technologies, materials, and assembly methods.
  • Stay updated on relevant industry developments and regulatory changes.
  • Participate in feasibility studies and technology roadmaps.

Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or related discipline.
  • Proven experience in electronics design, testing, and troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of primary and rechargeable battery technologies.
  • Practical experience with DC and solar power systems.
  • Strong PCB design and schematic creation skills.
  • Experience with hardware/software integration.
  • Familiarity with compliance and safety standards.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
