We are seeking an experienced Dental Assistant to join our friendly, modern dental practice in Gledswood Hills NSW.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare treatment rooms and sterilise instruments to maintain strict infection control standards.
  • Assist dentists during procedures by passing instruments, operating suction, and ensuring patient comfort.
  • Manage clinical records, update patient charts, and accurately record treatment details.
  • Take and process digital radiographs and intraoral images as required and per local regulations.
  • Provide chairside support and clear explanations to patients about procedures and aftercare.
  • Support reception staff with patient bookings, confirmations, and basic administrative tasks when needed.
  • Ensure inventory is maintained and request supplies to avoid disruption to clinical services.

Must-Have Skills and Qualifications

  • Certification or formal training as a Dental Assistant or equivalent experience in an Australian dental setting.
  • Familiarity with infection control protocols and Australian dental practice standards.
  • Ability to multitask, maintain attention to detail, and work efficiently in a busy clinic.
  • Experience with dental practice management software is preferred.

The practice is located inside a medical hub in Gledswood Hills, a growing suburb in south west Sydney.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $29.00 – $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 24 per week
