We have an exciting opportunity for a Full Time Sterilisation Technician to join our state-of-the-art Dental clinic in Far North Queensland.

The position
The key responsibilities of the sterilisation technician is to provide clean, disinfected and sterilised instruments and equipment in a timely manner to support clinical dental services.
Key duties (Training will be provided):
- Decontamination of Instruments - Clean and disinfect instruments using approved methods and chemicals to eliminate biological contaminants.
- Inspection and Maintenance - Examine instruments for damage or wear, ensuring they meet safety and performance standards before reuse.
- Sterilisation Procedures - Operate sterilisation equipment to process instruments according to strict protocols and infection control guidelines.
- Packaging and Labelling - Wrap, label, and store sterilised items in a way that maintains sterility until use, often following specific hospital or clinic procedures.
- Documentation and Compliance - Maintain accurate records of sterilisation cycles, equipment maintenance, and quality checks to comply with healthcare regulations.
Experience and aptitude
- Experience in sterilisation desirable but not essential
- A high level of organisational, communication and team skills
- A mature and caring nature, a commitment to patient care
- Demonstrates initiative to prioritise workload
- This role involves standing for extended periods and performing repetitive tasks throughout the day
