About the Program

The Northern Territory Primary Health Network (NT PHN) Locum Program connects qualified General Practitioners with rewarding short-term placements across urban, rural, and remote communities in the Northern Territory.

As a GP Locum, you'll provide high-quality primary health care services to diverse populations, often in Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisations (ACCHOs), remote health centres, and regional practices. This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful difference while experiencing the rich culture and beauty of the NT.

Competitive daily rates — typically $1,500–$2,000 per day

About You

We are seeking experienced and adaptable General Practitioners who are passionate about delivering quality healthcare in diverse settings.

Essential requirements:

  • Current and unrestricted registration with AHPRA
  • Fellowship with RACGP or ACRRM (or working towards)
  • Australian working rights
  • Commitment to culturally safe practice and improving Aboriginal health outcomes

Desirable:

  • Previous experience in remote or Indigenous health
  • Emergency and primary care skills
  • Current ALS / CPR certification
