Role Overview:
Join us in making a difference We're seeking dedicated individuals for the role of Casual Youth Worker in our supported youth accommodation setting.
The youth service works to a 24-hour roster with a mix of day, afternoon and passive (or overnight) shifts. We are looking for someone who can work across a 24/7 roster, and who wants to work with a team of dedicated individuals to deliver a great experience every time for the young people aged 15-18 years of age that we support.

Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, implement and review case work in partnership with the individual young person, including:
- Intake and assessment procedures;
- Case file management;
- Linkages and referrals to other agencies;
- Building and maintaining harmonious, respectful and safe relationships within the house;
- Assisting with day-to-day activities, including general housekeeping;
- Focus on supporting young people to build and maintain other relationships, activities and interests;
- Providing information and encouragement to assist the development of independent living skills
- Work in partnership with young people from a client-focused and strengths-based practice
- Respond to actions and requests in a professional manner
- Assist young people to develop confidence and increase their self-esteem and motivation
- Maintaining up-to-date and relevant knowledge relating to client service delivery
Skills & Experience:
- Demonstrated experience working with young people with complex needs.
- Experience in working in partnership with young people from diverse backgrounds, lifestyles and interests
- A Tertiary qualifications in Community Services, Social Work or equivalent, or relevant and extensive community work experience and training (essential)
- Certificate III or IV in Youth Work, Juvenile Justice or Alcohol & Other Drugs (highly desirable)
- Psychological Suitability to work in a Children's Residential Facility (essential or willingness to undertake assessment)
- Current DHS Working with Children Check (essential)
- Current DHS NDIS Worker Screening Check (essential)
