The opportunity

We're hiring a commercially minded Junior In-House Lawyer to be our day-to-day legal lead across contracts, compliance, and regulatory matters. You'll work directly with senior management and have real ownership from day one.

What you'll do

  • Draft, review and negotiate commercial agreements (supply, manufacturing, distribution, NDAs, services, licensing).
  • Advise on product claims, marketing, and consumer law (ACCC) and support labelling and packaging compliance.
  • Support regulatory matters (e.g., TGA/therapeutic goods, standards, privacy) and maintain policies and registers.
  • Prepare clear, practical internal advice and templates; run small disputes/pre-litigation with external counsel as needed.
  • Help with governance and corporate matters (ASIC filings, board papers, IP portfolio coordination).

Must-haves

  • Unrestricted Queensland practising certificate (i.e., you've completed the statutory period of 2 years supervised legal practice and can practise without day-to-day supervision).

Nice-to-haves (not essential)

  • Interest or exposure to health/skincare, manufacturing, sustainability, or start-ups/scale-ups.
  • Experience with privacy, IP, advertising/claims substantiation, or regulatory engagement (e.g., TGA/Standards).
