T-Quip is seeking experienced and self-motivated - Small Engine Mechanic.

This is an outstanding opportunity to join the leading TORO commercial dealership in WA.

Within this fast moving, ever growing company, you will use your exceptional customer service and mechanical skills to build, maintain and service a range of commercial machinery by world leading brands, such as Toro, Gianni Ferrari, Peruzzo, Hako, SMG & Trilo. The successful applicant will possess an outgoing personality; will be a team player with a positive attitude to work, who can work both independently as well as with others.

The Role

  • Provide excellent diagnostic and repair practices to our client's machines.
  • Carry out fault finding in hydraulics, electrical systems and mechanical components.

To Be Considered For The Role You Must Possess The Following:

  • Mechanical Qualification
  • Strong mechanical knowledge
  • Strong diagnostic skills
  • Strong trouble shooting knowledge on 2 & 4 stroke engines is essential
  • Knowledge of electrical systems
  • Proficiency in maintenance, servicing & repairs on a variety of small engine equipment (chainsaws, brushcutters, self propelled lawn mowers & outdoor machinery
  • Be well presented and have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong skills in parts interpretation from spare parts diagrams for different makes & models of machinery to identify the correct spare parts for repairs & customers
  • Required to be able to quote service work & spare parts to customers
  • Required to have the ability to provide technical support & liaise with a broad range of customers & internal stakeholders where required
  • Attention to detail & pride in workmanship
  • Be able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Have excellent time management skills
  • Previous work experience in the commercial turf, small plant or agricultural industry
  • Hold a current manual driver`s license
  • Provide three current work referees

Highly Regarded

  • Experience in hydraulics
  • Experience in small diesel engines

The successful candidate will be provided with training, career opportunities, an excellent remuneration package appropriate to experience, skills and qualifications.

You will be required to work Monday to Friday 7:30am – 4:00pm. Additional hours may be required from time to time depending on season and workshop scheduling. We offer a great working environment, modern fully air conditioned workshop, on-going training and support with job security.
