What You'll Do

  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to ensure the efficient daily operation of claims processes, including electronic filing and document management.
  • Accurately input invoices for payment into the claims system, maintaining meticulous records and ensuring timely processing of all approved payments.
  • Assist with the entry of medical certificates into relevant systems, supporting Claims and Rehabilitation Consultants in their case management responsibilities.
  • Distribute incoming mail efficiently and handle other general clerical duties as required to maintain seamless office operations.
  • Collaborate closely with Claims Managers, Senior Claims Assistants, member councils, and external service providers to facilitate effective communication and workflow.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, regulations, and reference guides by following established standard operating procedures at all times.
  • Participate in training and development activities such as buddy systems or self-learning modules to continually enhance your knowledge of claims administration processes.
  • Support new system implementations as needed by adapting quickly to changes in technology or procedure within the business unit.
  • Demonstrate initiative when managing confidential information, always upholding privacy standards and exercising sound judgement in sensitive situations.

What You Bring

  • Demonstrated experience in providing high-quality administrative support within an office or public sector environment, showcasing your reliability and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in data entry with a proven track record of maintaining accuracy while managing large volumes of information under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills that enable you to interact effectively with colleagues, clients, and external stakeholders alike.
  • Strong computer literacy including advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word for efficient document creation, tracking, and reporting.
  • Outstanding time management abilities allowing you to plan ahead, prioritise workloads independently, and adapt quickly when circumstances change.
  • A considerate approach when handling confidential information combined with sound judgement regarding privacy requirements.
  • Willingness to participate in ongoing training opportunities such as buddy systems or self-directed learning modules for continuous professional growth.
  • Familiarity with standard operating procedures or compliance frameworks relevant to claims administration is highly regarded but not essential.
