THE ROLE
We are looking for an experienced AML/CTF officer to join the team to ensure that the firm is complying with its AML/CTF obligations. This newly created role is a key addition to the Operations team and will be responsible for creating the AML/CTF framework for the firm.
Your role will involve:
- Making sure the firm complies with its AML/CTF obligations according to both the AML/CTF Act and AML/CTF Rules
- Reporting regularly to the board and senior management regarding how the firm are meeting its obligations
- Taking day-to-day responsibility for AML/CTF program
- Helping to create, implement and maintain internal policies, procedures and systems for AML/CTF compliance
- Being the main point of contact for with AUSTRAC
- Having overall responsibility for the operation of the AML/CTF program
WHAT YOU OFFER:
The ideal candidate will have:
- Tertiary qualifications in Finance, Law, Compliance, or related field
- Solid experience in AML/CTF compliance
- Strong knowledge and understanding of AML/CTF legislation and regulatory requirements
- Excellent analytical and investigative skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Outstanding communication and report writing abilities
- Strong stakeholder management
- A commitment to meeting regulatory deadlines and maintaining high-quality standards.
