Your new role

As a Staff Software Engineer within the Digital and Automated Lending team, you will play a key role in delivering intelligent product origination solutions for Business Banking. You'll work on BIAN-compliant Customer Offer orchestration, enabling scalable workflows for lending products such as Corporate Credit Cards, Overdrafts, Better Business Loans and Bank Guarantees. This is an opportunity to influence technical direction, mentor engineers and leverage cutting-edge tools including AI-powered development accelerators.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Strong hands-on experience developing APIs, microservices and backend components
  • Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Python (

    ), Golang
  • Solid understanding of cloud-native development, preferably in AWS and
    AWS certification is highly regarded
  • Experience with event-driven architecture (Kafka, Kinesis, SNS/SQS, or EventBridge)
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools such as GitHub Actions, Buildkite, or Octopus Deploy
  • Knowledge of monitoring and observability tools (Prometheus/Grafana, Splunk, AWS CloudWatch)
  • Exposure to AI, Machine Learning, and building AI agents using LangGraph or Strands SDK is desirable
  • Strong understanding of security engineering principles and DevSecOps practices
  • Ability to mentor junior engineers and champion technical excellence
  • Previous experience in the banking domain will be advantageous
