About the business

Speedy Bins is a proudly Aussie owned and operated Brisbane Northside waste management company.

We own a modern fleet of truck that enables us to deliver outstanding skip bin services to clients - day in and day out. Our operations include repurposing and recycling waste, with a focus on minimising landfill disposal.

We have a dynamic team of logistics professionals with a friendly workplace culture.

About the role

Our business is expanding and we require experienced HR and MR Drivers to operate our Skip and Hook Truck fleet. This is a key role within our business and a fantastic opportunity where your hard work will be noticed and rewarded.

Skills and experience

  • Must hold a current and valid unrestricted QLD HR and/or MR licence
  • Must have 12 months minimum driving experience around Brisbane metro/suburbs
  • Has a clean driving record and must provide driver history
  • Must be available for early morning starts
  • Perform and record daily vehicle pre-start and post-checks
  • Be physically able to complete tarping/de-tarping of bins, secure loads on trucks with straps and chains, entering/exiting trucks 20+ times per shift
  • Reliable, trustworthy and have a positive 'can do attitude', flexible to change, efficient, and ability to problem solve
  • Willingness to work as part of a successful team and a commitment to safety
  • General Construction Induction Card (white card) or willingness to achieve
  • Preferred understanding of the waste industry, however, full training will be provided to successful applicants
  • Immediate start

  • ABN
  • Public liability insurance
  • Comprehensive motor vehicle and compulsory third-party insurance
  • Full Australian working rights
  • Satisfactory driving history record
  • Safety focused with an understanding of chain of responsibility obligations
  • Keen eye for detail and ability to problem solve whilst attending customer sites.
  • Primary drivers only, no secondaries permitted due to Chain of Responsibility requirements
