Our Data Technology Division supports a critical data platform that enables essential business operations for Commodities and Global Markets and Macquarie Capital. Built on cutting-edge AWS cloud technologies, the platform leverages Redshift, S3, Kubernetes, PostgreSQL, Argo Workflows, and Python to process batch and event-driven data.

What role will you play?
In this role you will help design and implement a new Site Reliability Engineering capability within our Data Technology division. You will work on platform code, data feed configurations, and tooling to ensure production sustainability and scalability. You will implement and enhance tooling for logging, monitoring, alerts and observability to improve platform health and performance while also collaborating with engineering teams and business partners to optimise processes and maintain compliance for critical data feeds.

What You Offer

  • 3+ years' of industry experience, ideally in big data environments or working with large datasets
  • Proficiency in AWS technologies such as Redshift, S3, and Kubernetes, plus extensive Python and SQL skills
  • Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot data-related issues effectively
  • Understanding of data lineage, data governance, and PII principles
  • Experience with collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Microsoft Suite.
