About the role

Cincotta Discount Chemist Balgowlah is seeking a final year pharmacy student to join our team on a part-time basis at our Balgowlah, NSW location. As a final year pharmacy student, you will play a crucial role in supporting our experienced pharmacists and providing exceptional customer service to our patients.

What you'll be doing

• Assisting the pharmacist in dispensing medications, providing medication counselling, and ensuring the safe and accurate handling of pharmaceuticals

• Collaborating with the pharmacy team to maintain inventory, process orders, and manage the pharmacy workflow

• Answering customer inquiries, providing product recommendations, and offering advice on over-the-counter medications

• Participating in continuing education and professional development activities to stay up-to-date with industry best practices

• Adhering to all relevant pharmacy regulations, policies, and procedures to ensure the highest standards of patient safety and care

What we're looking for

• Currently enrolled in the final year of a pharmacy degree program

• Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology, medication classifications, and dosing guidelines

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide exceptional customer service

• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy and safety in handling medications

• Flexibility and a willingness to adapt to the needs of the pharmacy and its patients
