We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Junior Trade Assistant/Apprentice to join our team at LEIGHTON PANEL AND PAINT in Bicton, Western Australia. This is a full-time position that will play a crucial role in supporting our experienced automotive tradespeople. This role will suit someone that has a passion for all things cars

What you'll be doing

  • Assisting with surface preparation, sanding, and masking
  • Mixing paints and cleaning spray guns
  • Maintain a clean and organised work environment, ensuring tools and equipment are properly stored
  • Learn new skills and techniques from experienced tradespeople to develop your expertise
  • Adhere to all safety procedures and work practices to ensure a safe working environment
  • Learning refinishing techniques (painting) and colour matching

What we're looking for

  • A genuine interest in the automotive industry and a willingness to learn
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions
  • Good physical fitness and the ability to perform manual tasks
  • A positive attitude and a team-oriented approach
  • Holds (or is working towards) a current driver's licence
  • Is reliable, motivated, and eager to learn
