A COMSO plays a vital role in safeguarding national security by ensuring the integrity, confidentiality, and proper handling of sensitive communications intelligence (COMINT) data. • Take a lead role in implementing an intelligence facilitation model of product distribution throughout Treasury, equipping the department to meet future intelligence needs.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with Treasury's external intelligence partners.
  • Enable access to secure communications systems and administer compartmented, codeword, and tailored security briefings.
  • Represent Treasury's information security function, ensuring protection of official and classified documents and resources.
  • Support the certification and accreditation of Treasury's secure zones in accordance with the Treasury Physical security team and external security partner specifications.
  • Provide risk-informed, intelligence-led security advice to Treasury leadership.
  • Oversee secure storage, handling, and record-keeping of intelligence reporting and accountable material.
  • Support the Agency Security Adviser and Chief Security Officer in identifying trends and providing strategic security advice.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate

  • Clear communication skills, including the ability to distil complex intelligence information and develop written briefings for senior leaders.
  • Adaptability, a commitment to continuous learning, and openness to new ways of working.
  • Sound judgement and decision-making governed by regulations and best practice.

Desirable Qualifications / Experience

  • Candidates must hold a Top Secret Positive Vetting (TSPV) or Top Secret-Privileged Access (TS-PA) security clearance.
