Description:

Pastuso is a gem of Melbourne's restaurant scene, and undoubtedly one of Australia's finest Peruvian restaurants. Sitting at the foot of AC/DC Lane, our prime location means that the CBD is on your doorstep when it's time to treat yourself in town

In the Casual Barback role, your day-to-day will involve:

Support bartenders by restocking spirits, beer, wine, glassware, garnishes, and ice throughout service

Maintain cleanliness and organisation behind the bar, including wiping surfaces, collecting empty glassware, and managing rubbish

Prepare and refill bar stations before and during service to ensure smooth, efficient operations

Assist with kegs, deliveries, and stock rotation, ensuring accurate inventory management and storage

Follow all hygiene, safety, and RSA standards while providing prompt support to bartenders and floor staff

The ideal candidate will have:

Availability every Friday & Saturday evening from 4pm to Midnight

•

Unrestricted right to work in Australia

•

Experience in a premium restaurant or bar environment

•

Curiosity to learn about beverages (beer, wine, cocktails, spirits)

• Ambition to progress into a Bar Salesperson role
• Initiative to step in with extra help beyond assigned duties
• Holds a RSA or is able to obtain one on commencement of employment
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.A positive attitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining high service standards.
