Location: Warwick, QLD

Hours: Part time, 2-4 days/week – we'll be flexible if you're the right person.

Afterhours: NONE. Zilch. Nada. Afterhours who? Never heard of her. Your evenings are your own.


·      Are you an experienced veterinary nurse who's ready to actually nurse—not just hold animals and clean cages?

·      Do you get a weird sense of satisfaction from wrangling three beeping NIKI pumps and a yodelling husky that just pulled out it's drip?

We're a friendly, low-drama, close-knit small animal clinic in Warwick, QLD, and we're looking for an experienced vet nurse to join our team.

If you've been frustrated in other clinics where you weren't trusted to do the things you're trained to do, then this could be the breath of fresh air you've been looking for.


What You'll Be Doing:

  • Supporting our vets in consults.
  • Fun stuff – e.g. placing IV catheters, drawing and running bloods, monitoring transfusions, giving meds, keeping the vets vaguely on track.
  • Anaesthetic, surgical, and hospital nursing – the hands-on action.
  • Keeping everything ticking along behind the scenes (and sometimes out the front too)

What We Want:

  • At least 2+ years' experience in a clinical setting
  • Confidence and competence in all areas of GP nursing.
  • A calm, capable presence who doesn't easily lose the plot.
  • Someone who can take some initiative, but also loves a group huddle.
  • A nurse who loves animals, but also knows how to support their humans.

What We Don't Want:

  • Someone who doesn't play well with others.
  • Someone who is afraid of change.
  • A big ego.
  • Someone only after a short term gig.
