Assembly Sewing Machinist & Round Sling Operator – Multiple Positions Available

We're expanding our team and looking for motivated individuals to join our production department

SpanSet Australia currently has three (3) Sewing Machinist/Assembly Operator positions and one (1) Round Sling Operator position available at our Emu Plains facility.

About the Roles

Assembly Sewing Machinist / Assembly Operator

You'll be responsible for operating industrial sewing and assembly machinery to produce high-quality lifting, restraint, and safety products.

Key tasks:

  • Assemble and operate sewing or production machines.
  • Conduct visual and dimensional quality checks.
  • Report any product or equipment issues.
  • Maintain a clean and organised workstation.
  • Work collaboratively to meet production targets.

Round Sling Operator

You'll operate and maintain round sling machinery to manufacture lifting slings according to SpanSet's specifications and quality standards.

Key tasks:

  • Set up and operate round sling machines safely and efficiently.
  • Follow manufacturing instructions and quality requirements.
  • Monitor production output and raise any issues promptly.
  • Keep the workstation clean and compliant with WHS standards.

What We're Looking For
  • Experience in manufacturing, sewing, or machine operation (preferred but not essential).
  • Good mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality.
  • Reliable, motivated, and able to work as part of a team.
