About the Role

This Change Manager role is central to a major organisational reform initiative, focusing on restructuring and operating model transformation. You'll support a large portfolio of business-led change programs, ensuring change management frameworks are effectively implemented across divisions. With a strong focus on stakeholder engagement, change impact analysis, and communications strategy, this position plays a pivotal role in the success of a complex, phased transformation.

  • Change Manager – $950–$1,100/day + super
  • Location: Hybrid (Macquarie Park & Sydney CBD)
  • Start Date: Immediate/ASAP
  • Duration: Initial engagement for 6 months with high chances of extension

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and implement tailored change management plans for a wide-reaching transformation portfolio
  • Engage and coach senior leaders, sponsors, and delivery teams to uplift change capability
  • Conduct stakeholder analysis, change impact assessments, and readiness planning
  • Collaborate with project managers and business leads to embed new processes and behaviours
  • Coordinate across divisions to ensure consistent messaging and integration with other change projects
  • Design and deliver engaging communications and training strategies
  • Evaluate change effectiveness and identify opportunities for continuous improvement
  • Manage change scope and proposals to assess impacts on schedules and resource planning
  • Support the Change Community of Practice and contribute to enterprise-wide change maturity

About You

  • Proven experience in leading organisational change across complex, multi-stream environments, ideally withinthe NSW government
  • Strong background in process redesign, transformation programs, or restructuring projects
  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels
  • Experience in large-scale public sector or regulated industries desirable but not essential
  • Proficiency with change methodologies (e.g. PROSCI, ADKAR) and digital collaboration tools
  • Ability to work with ambiguity and proactively shape change direction
  • Strong strategic thinking with practical execution skills
  • Must have full Australian working rights (citizenship, permanent residency, or long-term visa holders)
