Reporting to the Senior Manager, STS Oversight & Monitoring, the position will play a key role in the Superannuation Trustees' assurance, oversight and monitoring practices over a range of outsourced superannuation service providers, primarily Promoters, Administrators and Custodians.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintaining collaborative relationships with service providers.
  • Reviewing and enhancing existing processes and operating an assurance and continuous due diligence program over Superannuation fund service providers in accordance with regulatory and internal policy requirements.
  • Leading the CPS 230 service provider operational resilience program.
  • Ensuring service providers deliver against service levels and regulatory obligations, and within the Trustee's risk appetite, and ensuring effective monitoring and analysis of service provider reporting requirements.
  • Leading and conducting remote, desktop and on-site due diligence reviews of Promoters, Administrators and Custodians through a GRC and/or operational risk lens as well as an operational standards lens, with the ability to apply strong problem-solving skills, ask insightful second- and third-level questions and constructively challenge when appropriate.
  • Where required, developing and overseeing the implementation of solutions with service providers to improve service delivery, regulatory compliance and/or risk management; and
  • Preparing timely and effective Board and Committee reports on due diligence and monitoring of service providers that are clear, concise and accurate.
What You'll Need to Succeed
  • At least 7 years of experience in assurance, due diligence, or risk management in financial services, with strong knowledge of the superannuation sector.
  • Strong experience in the superannuation or trustee industry.
  • Good understanding of superannuation laws and regulations, and how to apply them.
  • Strong skills in working with and influencing stakeholders.
  • Sharp thinking and the ability to manage and lead a program of work.
  • A team-focused attitude and willingness to work with others.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Good time management and ability to work independently.
  • A proactive mindset and focus on continuous improvement.
  • Ability to write high quality reports for Boards and Committees.
