The Veterinarian position is within the Sydney School of Veterinary Science and supporting the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine program. This is your chance to have a marked impact on the future of the veterinary profession through your contribution and support of the clinical service and training of students.
The role will work within the School's University Veterinary Teaching Hospital in Camperdown. The teaching hospital provides clinical learning experience for veterinary students and staff engaged in professional training programs through provision of veterinary services to the public.

Your key responsibilities will be
provide first opinion emergency and critical care small animal services for pet owners within the vicinity
participation in the after-hours/24 hour care service including weekdays and weekends
provide 'hands-on' clinical training to final year students to develop 'Day One' skills
support students and nursing staff in decision making, and case management
About you

a degree in veterinary science registrable in NSW (or equivalent)
an equivalent combination of training and experience in ECC is preferred
a minimum of 12 months experience in small animal clinical practice with emergency duties
an ability to work independently and within a team environment
experience in teaching/coaching others
the ability to show initiative and manage competing deadlines
excellent verbal and written communication skills

Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. This role requires valid work rights for Australia.
