Barista / Cafe All-Rounder

Bean Culture Coffee is a coffee roastery, cafe, barista training school and coffee event specialist based in Mitchell, Canberra.

We currently have a barista / café all-rounder position available for approximately 30 hours per week. Key responsibilities of the role include:

• Barista role - dialling in coffee, adjusting grinders, making specialty coffee, latte art, filter coffee
• Greeting and serving customers,
• Cash handling,
• Running coffee and food to tables,
• Making smoothies/milkshakes,
• Cleaning and keeping work areas / communal areas clean and tidy (including end-of-day close),
• Restocking food, drinks and retail shelves

Skills and experience:

• Minimum 12 months experience as a Barista
• Latte Art desirable
• Excellent customer service skills , bubbly personality and great communication is a must
• Hardworking, punctual and reliable
• Flexible and willing to learn and work in varied aspects of the business
• Maintain a clean and organised work space
• The ability to work autonomously as well as within a small team environment, and being happy to help other team members when needed
• A 'can-do' attitude – no two days are the same. Being open and flexible to helping in other areas of the business.
