The Opportunity

LIHE is seeking sessional lecturers to contribute to the delivery of undergraduate courses in Community Services. You will play a key role in delivering engaging, practice-informed teaching, supporting student learning, and upholding academic integrity across the program.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality, student-centred teaching to undergraduate students
  • Prepare and deliver subject content aligned with curriculum standards
  • Mark assessments in accordance with institutional policies and assessment rubrics
  • Support students through academic consultation and feedback
  • Promote inclusive and ethical teaching practices
  • Participate in moderation and academic meetings, as required

Selection Criteria

Essential

  • Master's degree (AQF Level 9) or equivalent in
    Community Services or a related field
  • At least two years of professional experience in a community services
  • Demonstrated capacity to deliver high-quality teaching and facilitate student learning
  • Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusive education
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a higher education environment

Desirable

  • A Graduate Certificate in Higher Education Teaching and Learning (or willingness to obtain)
  • Experience in delivering online or blended learning
  • Familiarity with academic integrity and quality assurance standards
  • Membership of a relevant professional or industry body
  • Experience working with or within First Nations communities or organisations
