This established manufacturing company is a highly regarded, preferred supplier working in rail, defence and mining. We have relocated to a new high-class facility in the beautiful Southern Highlands of NSW and have significant ongoing contracts that will make this role interesting, satisfying and secure. A great opportunity for a dynamic, experienced multifaceted CNC operator/programmer is sought to step up to lead a team working on a variety of interesting projects using modern CNC machines with Heidenhain and Fanuc controls. We seek someone who can set jobs and supervise machine output within a team environment and achieve high quality outcomes. Someone who likes to collaborate with engineers and management. This job would appeal to someone wanting to progress their CNC career to the next level.

Mandatory Attributes

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a CNC machinist
  • Passion for modern machining, work holding and automation
  • Willingness to mentor, train and lead our exceptional apprentices
  • Good personal communication and problem solving skills
  • Australian Citizen with a current Australian driver's license

Highly Regarded Attributes

  • Prior supervisory or leadership roles
  • Experience and knowledge of modern machining techniques
  • Experience with ISO-9001
  • MASTERCAM programing experience
  • Defence veteran or experience with defence
  • A collaborative attitude would be a great advantage
