Premium Graduate Placements (PGP) partners with top Australian engineering and construction firms to provide structured internship opportunities for students and graduates in Civil Engineering. This program is designed to give future engineers practical, industry-based experience and the chance to apply academic knowledge to real-world infrastructure and development projects.

About the Role

As a Civil Engineering Intern, you'll support professional engineers in the planning, design, and implementation of civil projects. You'll gain exposure to different areas of civil engineering such as structural design, construction management, and transportation systems, depending on your placement and interests.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design, drafting, and documentation of civil infrastructure projects
  • Support site inspections, surveying, and project monitoring under supervision
  • Contribute to feasibility studies, project planning, and reporting
  • Conduct data analysis and technical research for engineering improvements
  • Collaborate with engineers and project teams to ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations
  • Help prepare technical drawings, specifications, and progress reports
  • Participate in environmental and sustainability assessments related to civil projects

Requirements

  • Currently studying or recently graduated in Civil Engineering (international students are welcome)
  • Basic knowledge of structural analysis, materials, fluid mechanics, and project management
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, or similar design tools is an advantage
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent teamwork, communication, and attention to detail
  • Availability for at least 3 days per week during the internship
  • Can start asap
