Chef – Early Childhood Education Centre (Full-Time, 5 Days per Week)

Join our Exceeding Early Childhood Education and Care Centre, where nutritious food, a love of learning, and a sense of community come together every day We're seeking a passionate and experienced Chef to join our team and provide high-quality, nutritious meals for the children in our care.

About the Role:

We are looking for a dedicated and organised Chef to plan, prepare, and deliver nutritious, child-friendly meals each day in line with dietary guidelines and family expectations. You'll be responsible for maintaining a safe, hygienic, and welcoming kitchen environment that reflects our commitment to excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and serve daily, nutritionally balanced meals and snacks for children aged 0–5 years.
  • Plan and rotate seasonal menus that meet nutritional and cultural requirements.
  • Manage food ordering, stock rotation, and budgeting effectively.
  • Maintain the kitchen to a high standard of cleanliness and organisation at all times.
  • Adhere to all food safety and hygiene standards and complete required documentation.
  • Work collaboratively with educators to support children's wellbeing and inclusion through nutrition.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience preparing nutritious meals for children in an early childhood or similar setting.
  • Strong understanding of child nutrition and portion control.
  • Knowledge of and adherence to current Food Safety Standards.
  • Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (highly desirable).
  • Excellent organisation and time management skills.
  • A passion for creating healthy, delicious meals that children love
