Moreton Bay Ability is a niche, independent provider of disability supports in the Moreton Bay Region. We provide person centered supports that promote inclusion and empower individuals. We are seeking bright and enthusiastic individuals to join our team. We are seeking to employ Disability Support Workers on a casual basis. We are passionate about people with a disability living there best life. You will need to hold or be willing to obtain First Aid and CPR, NDIS Worker Screening and Blue Card. You will need to have a reliable car and hold an open QLD Drivers license. Ideally you will hold formal qualifications or be studying towards.

Do you have good availability including evenings, weekends and the odd early morning start?

Ideally, we would like you to:

  • Be personable, approachable, motivated, reliable and passionate with a can-do attitude.
  • Have a big heart, a little patience, and a desire to improve the lives of people we support.
  • Have strong communication, problem solving, time management, conflict resolution skills.
  • Be flexible, adaptable and able to remain calm under pressure to think on your feet with shifting priorities in an ever-changing environment.

Essential Requirements:

  • Paid Blue Card (or willing to obtain)
  • NDIS Worker Screening (or willing to obtain)
  • Cert III in Individual Support
  • Manual handling, Assist medication & Recognising healthy body systems qualifications
  • NDIS Worker Orientation Module (or willing to obtain)
  • Good availability including nights and weekends
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Drivers license & registered and insured vehicle
