  • A Rail Signalling Engineer seeking client-side experience on one of Australia's largest rail infrastructure programs
  • A Rail Signalling Design Engineer seeking hands-on site experience,

An Electrical, Telecommunications, or Systems Engineer eager to work on a nationally significant project, or
- A Rail Signalling Electrician ready to transition into engineering (Eligible for an ARTC Assistant Signal Engineer competency) -

Flexible Location Options:
Work from any Inland Rail office (Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, Newcastle, Wagga Wagga) with site travel as needed, or opt for a site-based role with rostering options.

About the role:
Reporting to the Senior Project Manager - Signalling, you'll be a key player in delivering safe, timely, and budget-conscious signalling works. You'll provide expert technical input, ensure seamless integration across project streams, resolve complex issues, and manage risk - all while contributing to the future of Australia's rail network.

Key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Deliver technical advice on rail systems across Inland Rail's delivery teams
  • Oversee quality assurance for signalling design and construction
  • Support development of scope and technical requirements
  • Review contractor deliverables and ensure compliance
  • Assist with operational readiness and handover planning for new and altered assets
  • Conduct site inspections and collaborate with end users and contractors to achieve best for project consensus outcomes
  • Champion safety initiatives and contribute to project management plans
  • Provide performance and evaluation reports

About you

What we are looking for:

  • Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Electronics and Communication, Mechatronics, Software, Computer Systems, Communications preferred) or equivalent experience.
  • Graduate Diploma or Certificate IV in Railway Signalling preferred
  • Proven experience in delivery of major construction/infrastructure projects, or in maintenance or construction of railway signalling systems
  • Knowledge of railway signalling systems and Australian rail standards preferred
  • Strong collaboration and problem-solving skills in dynamic environments
  • Willingness to travel to site as required
  • Valid Class C Driver's Licence
