Make a difference in the early years
If you're someone who finds joy in helping families feel supported, connected, and confident during their child's early development, this role offers a chance to make a lasting impact. You'll be part of a passionate team that works hand-in-hand with local families, community organisations, and schools to help every child thrive before they even reach the classroom.
About the role
As our Early Years Partnership Engagement Officer, you'll help families with children aged 0–4 access programs and services that promote school readiness across the Armadale West area.
You'll build strong, trusting relationships within the community — particularly with Aboriginal families and caregivers — supporting them to connect with the right services, participate in playgroups, and feel confident navigating early childhood programs.
Every day is different. One day you might be welcoming families at playgroup or coordinating a community event, the next you'll be gathering insights and sharing information with local partners to make sure our services truly meet community needs.
About you
You're community-minded, approachable, and genuinely care about people. You're comfortable building relationships, creating safe and inclusive spaces, and enjoy working alongside diverse groups — especially Aboriginal families and caregivers.
You'll also bring:
- Experience working in a community-based or customer service role
- Confidence engaging with families and stakeholders from diverse backgrounds
- Strong communication and organisation skills
- A willingness to learn and contribute to a culturally respectful environment
- A current Working with Children Check (or ability to obtain one)
- A current National Police Clearance
