Nurturing, long-term nanny/educator role with a family eager to support and celebrate their young children's Chinese heritage.

Location: Hawthorn, VIC

Days: Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays

Children: 1.5 year old and 3.5 year old

Pay rate: $40-45/hr + Super + paid leave entitlements

Start: January 28th (some flexibility).

ABOUT YOU

  • 2+ years of experience with young children
  • Permanent Australian Residency
  • Mandarin-speaking (preferred)
  • Confident in the kitchen
  • Drivers Licence and own car
  • Valid WWCC, First Aid, and CPR
  • 2 excellent references that we can contact.

ROLE DESCRIPTION

Caring for the young children will be your priority, with the second being an ability and willingness to support with light household tasks during child-free hours - such as cooking simple meals (often Chinese recipes).

The family all speak English at home but their Chinese background is an important part of their cultural identity, so an experienced caregiver who speaks Mandarin will be highly valued

These parents value quality time with their children. They also value support from proactive professional nannies who use their initiative to help their busy lives run smoothly. Their young boys are playful, full of personality, and eager to learn - an interest the parents would love to foster - so a nanny who has a passion for early learning (including phonics) would be a great fit for this household.
