Your new role:
As a Senior Medical Physicist in Radiation Oncology (ROPART), you will play a key role in delivering evidence-based, high-quality clinical services that directly impact patient outcomes. You will work independently and collaboratively within an interprofessional team, leading clinical service delivery, quality improvement initiatives, and staff training.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage clinical Medical Physics workload including assessment, intervention, and evaluation within established protocols.
- Serve as a clinical reference point and respond to everyday clinical demands.
- Develop, implement, and review evidence-based clinical practices, policies, and protocols.
- Provide scientific expertise for accurate radiation treatment and radiation safety.
About you:
You are a highly skilled Medical Physicist with a passion for patient-centered care and continuous learning. Your expertise, clinical judgment, and leadership abilities empower you to deliver innovative solutions and foster a culture of excellence.
You have:
- Licenced or eligible for a Radiation Safety Act licence.
- Demonstrated experience in clinical Medical Physics services, preferably in Radiation Oncology.
- Experience supervising and training junior staff and students.
- Familiarity with Varian Mobius 3D or similar software is a plus.

The Princess Alexandra Hospital (PAH) is a tertiary health care centre providing care in most major adult specialties. We provide world class health care to Brisbane City's southern suburbs across emergency, medical, mental health and surgical services, including liver and kidney transplant.
We are nationally recognised for our expertise in trauma management and organ transplants and are one of Australia's leading academic and research health centres. The PAH as a major medical research precinct hosts Australia's most advanced medical research facility, the Translational Research Institute (TRI) as well as a new Clinical Research Facility for the discoveries made at TRI to be trialed in a safe clinical environment.
We're expanding our hospital to make sure everyone gets the care they need. We're adding more beds, modernising our buildings, and improving our spaces to treat kidney and cancer patients with all new services and facilities planned to open by 2027.
