As part of Business Banking, Small Business Banking provides both in-branch and remote support to clients across Australia. We build strong connections with our communities and customers by focusing on deep relationships, compelling propositions, and exceptional execution.

We're looking for a commercial lending Business Banker to join our team in Adelaide, SA.
 

In this role, you'll contribute to the success of a high-performing branch by delivering exceptional service to Small Business customers. You'll support their business and personal goals through end-to-end fulfilment and proactive engagement.
 

You'll also play a key role in business development within your local community, acting as a trusted advisor and brand ambassador for CommBank.
 

More specifically,  you will:

  • Facilitate meaningful customer conversations to understand goals and provide timely, relevant solutions
  • Originate a range of business solutions including commercial lending up to $1.25M, asset finance, merchant facilities, and everyday banking
  • Proactively engage customers with insights and support across both business and personal needs, including home ownership solutions
  • Represent CommBank in the local business community, building awareness of our Small Business Banking proposition
  • Host small business education events to support financial wellbeing
  • Attend key stakeholder meetings to build referral partnerships and address service pain points
     

We want to hear from you have:

  • Experience in commercial lending or B2B sales
  • Home lending experience
  • Strong financial analysis skills and commercial acumen
  • Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Proven ability to manage customer pipelines and facilitate proactive contact
  • Passion for supporting Small Business customers, or direct experience in running one
  • FSRA Tier 2 Accreditation
  • Credit Approval Authority (CAA) Level 2, or willingness to obtain within 6 months
  • Formal training to support home lending discussions (e.g. Cert IV in Banking Services – preferred)
