About the role

We're all about helping our members make the most of their money. And while they go after their goals, you can too. As a Senior Portfolio Analyst in our Dynamic Asset Allocation (DAA) team, you'll work closely with a high performing and tight-knit group to design smart investment strategies that put our members first. You'll help adjust the mix of listed assets in our multi-sector portfolios based on what's happening in the market - think global equities, bonds, currency, commodities and credit. Your insights will directly impact how we manage risk and deliver strong returns.

Day to day, you'll:

• Work side-by-side with the Portfolio Manager and team to shape investment decisions.
• Dive into macroeconomic, sector and company trends, as well as policy shifts, that affect asset valuations
• Build and refine valuation models across asset classes, such as equities.
• Improve how we construct the DAA portfolio and manage risk.
• Deliver clear, high-quality reports to support investment proposals.
• Issue trade instructions to change or maintain portfolio positions.
• Share insights across the Investments team to boost our asset allocation game.
• Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders.
• Keep an eye on industry trends and bring fresh ideas to the table.

This role is permanent opportunity based in Sydney or Brisbane.

About you

It goes without saying you'll be a great communicator with top notch interpersonal skills. We'll also expect you to pick up problems and come up with quick, creative ways to solve them. It's quite likely you tick some of the following boxes too:

• You've got a degree in finance, investments, commerce, or economics.
• You've worked in the investment space and understood the market, regulations, and how to balance risk and reward.
• You have experience or interest in building fundamental valuations models, for assets such as equities.
• You're confident in your research and analytical skills, whether you're working solo or with a team.
• You communicate clearly both in writing and when speaking.
• You know how to build strong relationships and you're a great team player.
• You've got a sharp eye for detail and don't miss a thing.
• You have experience or interest in coding languages, such as Python.
