General Manager - Westernport Marina

Western Port Marina is located on the beautiful Mornington Peninsula and has everything to offer for tourists, weddings, conferences, diners and in particular boating enthusiasts. Our Marina offers both permanent and casual berthing as well as dry storage. Together with boat charters for fishing, diving and cruising there are ample opportunities for marine activities and a beautiful scenic environment.

We currently have an exciting opportunity for an energetic and passionate General Manager to join our friendly team.

Key Responsibilities

• Health, Safety & Compliance: Champion a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with OHS regulations and company policies.

• Leadership & Team Management: Provide strong leadership across all departments, inspiring and guiding staff to deliver exceptional client experiences. Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

• Operations & Project Management: Oversee daily marina operations, maintenance activities, and property management to achieve high occupancy and operational standards. Lead project management of capital improvements, ensuring infrastructure is enhanced to support future growth.
• Financial & Business Management: Manage budgets, financial reporting, revenue, and cash control, with a proven track record of delivering on operational and financial outcomes. Ensure resources are effectively allocated and targets are met.
• Marketing, Client & Community Engagement: Develop and implement marketing and communications strategies to attract new clients, increase engagement, and raise the marina's profile in the local community and boating industry.
• Client & Stakeholder Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with members, tenants, contractors, suppliers, and community organisations. Act as an approachable and proactive leader who listens, communicates effectively, and delivers solutions.

The ideal candidate will have senior management experience within the Marina Industry. Applicants with significant senior management - leadership experience within the hospitality industry is encouraged to apply.
