About the Role:

The Trade Compliance Analyst will be responsible for supporting and executing import and export processes, ensuring compliance with Customs and regulatory requirements, including management of service providers. This role will also handle tariff classification flow, duty management (duty avoidance/reduction programs such as free trade agreements and tco), recordkeeping. Assist audits and special projects related to international trade compliance.

Job tasks and responsibilities:

  • Responsible for Australia Import and Export activities.
  • Handle tariff classification flow.
  • Have the ability to supervise Customs Broker clearance activities.
  • Can perform post entry audit
  • Manage Australia Free Trade Agreement and TCO programs (application, refund claims, circulating analysis)
  • Able to handle customs accounting, review and process service provider Invoices, including refund and spend tracking.
  • Maintain Recordkeeping in Compliance with regulations.

Skills and experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, International Trade, Logistics Law, or related field.
  • Equivalent business experience (3 to 5 years).
  • Previous experience with import, export and customs compliance processes.
  • Knowledge of tariff classification, Customs regimes, and trade benefit programs.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities.
  • High level of analytical ability and strong research skills (identify and anticipate issues)
  • Intermediate to advanced level of proficiency in MS Excel MS Office and Power Bi (preferred)
  • Communication skills, ability to work with employees at different levels within the Rail Division and Service Providers' organisations.
