About the Role

We are seeking expressions of interest for Qualified Train Drivers interested in joining our Rail Operations Team at Bowen Rail. As a Train Driver, you will perform rail operations, safely, efficiently, and professionally to exceed all stakeholder expectations in line with Bowen Rail Company Values.

Our Rail Operations team is based at the Bowen Rail Provisioning Yard, 25 kms north of Bowen Queensland, working a 5:5 roster. Previous experience in heavy haul operations is highly desirable.

This role is a residentially located role which requires you to be based within a safe distance from the Bowen Rail Provisioning Yard.

About You

Essential

  • Certificate IV In Train Driving (TLI 42622 or equivalent)
  • Current Australian Unrestricted C Class Drivers Licence
  • Ability to Work to a 24/7 roster including nights, weekends and public holidays
  • Intermediate computer skills
  • Ability to commute to Bowen Rail Sites

Desirable

  • Previous experience in the Heavy Haul Rail Operations
  • Previous experience with Electronically Controlled Pneumatic Braking
  • Previous experience with Wired Distributed Power
  • Previous experience operating within the Central Queensland Coal Network
