Responsibilities:
- Assist with field data collection and environmental monitoring, including wetlands, habitats, wildlife, and water quality surveys.
- Support biological assessments, habitat evaluations, and species impact assessments under the guidance of project managers and technical specialists.
- Record, organize, and enter technical data; assist with data analysis and preparation of graphs and tables.
- Learn and follow established methodologies, protocols, and regulatory guidelines.
- Utilize GPS devices and digital cameras in fieldwork.
- Follow all Atwell safety protocols.
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Natural Resources, Wildlife Management, Wildlife Biology, or a related field.
- Basic knowledge of native and invasive plant species identification.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel) and familiarity with file-sharing platforms.
- Basic GPS data collection skills
- Ability to navigate diverse and rugged terrain in varying weather conditions while carrying up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work independently and communicate professionally with project managers, clients, and technicians.
