Lead Ruby Developer

The Role

This role will see the
Lead Developer
take ownership of the PeeplCoach platform, which supports coaches, clients, and administrators. Reporting to the CEO and working closely with the part-time CTO & Advisor, the developer will work closely with stakeholders to deliver features, ensure scalability, and contribute innovative ideas.

This role will suit someone comfortable working independently as the sole developer while collaborating across the business. With plans to expand the tech team, this role has scope for leadership and greater influence over the company's technical direction.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain the PeeplCoach platform using
    Ruby on Rails
    ,
    Postgres SQL
    , and front-end JavaScript libraries.
  • Deliver features and improvements across a unified codebase that powers the platform's user types.
  • Ensure the platform's performance, stability, and scalability as the business grows.
  • Collaborate with the COO, CEO, and other stakeholders to translate ideas into actionable development tasks.
  • Proactively identify and solve technical challenges while maintaining a high standard of quality.
  • Contribute innovative ideas and help shape the technical vision for the company.
