About the role

Southern Refrigerated Transport is seeking a skilled Fork Lift Operator to join our team in Sunshine West, VIC. This full-time role will see you operating forklifts and other material handling equipment within our state-of-the-art warehousing and distribution facility. You will play a crucial part in maintaining the smooth flow of goods and ensuring the efficient operation of our logistics processes.

What you'll be doing

  1. Operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to load, unload and move goods and materials within the warehouse
  2. Assisting with the receiving, storage and distribution of inventory
  3. Adhering to all safety protocols and maintaining a safe work environment
  4. Performing routine pre-operational checks and reporting any equipment issues
  5. Contributing to the overall efficiency and productivity of the warehouse operations
  6. Working Monday to Friday with standard 8am-4pm shifts

What we're looking for

  1. Forklift licence and demonstrated experience operating forklifts and other material handling equipment
  2. Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to safety
  3. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
  4. The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  5. Good communication and interpersonal skills
  6. A flexible and adaptable approach to work
