Due to rapid business growth, an exciting opportunity is now available for a Merchandise Salesperson to join the team at Total Rural Supplies. This full-time role offers an immediate start and the chance to work in a dynamic, fast-paced rural merchandise business.
About the Role
As a Merchandise Salesperson, you will play a key role in customer service, product management, and sales. You'll be responsible for building and maintaining client relationships, assisting with product supply, managing stock, and contributing to the continued growth of the business. This is a hands-on role that includes loading and unloading deliveries, managing inventory, and working closely with suppliers.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and grow a customer base through strong relationship building and account management strategies
- Deliver outstanding customer service, both in-store and on-site
- Meet and exceed sales targets and KPIs
- Assist in the procurement, ordering, and forecasting of stock with suppliers
- Conduct counter sales and manage store inventory
- Identify new business opportunities and generate leads
- Maintain store presentation, cleanliness, and organisation
- Perform loading/unloading of products as required
What We're Looking For
We're seeking someone with a passion for rural business and agriculture, who is energetic, hands-on, and ready to grow with us. To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Adaptability and a willingness to learn
- Physical fitness and the ability to handle manual tasks
- Ability to adapt to a fast paced environment
- A professional, punctual, and team-oriented approach
- Business acumen and a commitment to customer satisfaction
Preferred Experience:
- Previous sales experience (not essential, but an advantage)
- Background in agriculture or rural/farming industries
- Current driver's licence (required)
- Forklift licence (or willingness to obtain one)
