Part-Time Bookkeeper / Accountant – Construction

We are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper / Accountant to join our long-established, family run business, located in Ferntree Gully.

This role is ideal for someone looking for a flexible schedule during standard office hours Monday to Friday 8:30am - 4:30pm. The position is taking over from a long-term family member who has been managing the bookkeeping for many years.

This is an in-office, part time position, with a full handover and training provided, ready to start immediately.

Key Responsibilities

  • Bank and account reconciliations
  • Accounts payable and receivable
  • Payroll processing
  • Job costing and management reporting
  • BAS and other regulatory lodgements
  • Liaising with the external accountant when required

About You

  • Proficient in MYOB or Xero - (currently MYOB, but open to software adaption for the right candidate)
  • Prior bookkeeping or accounting experience
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
  • Comfortable communicating with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Understanding of ATO, SRO and payroll compliance for a small family business

The Role

  • Part-time: Approx. 4 days per week
