This is for a Permanent Full-Time appointment at 76 hours per fortnight.

An opportunity exists for a talented and enthusiastic Clinical Nurse to join the Public Health team at Carnarvon Hospital *in the Midwest.*

To be successful, you will have...

  • Knowledge and understanding of Public Health practice including disease control
  • Experience in the planning and delivery of community-based education and prevention programs.
  • Knowledge of cultural factors and social determinants of health particularly Aboriginal Health.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills including negotiation, facilitation, interpersonal skills and other computer-based methods.
  • Eligible for / or in possession of a current C or C-A Class drivers' licence or other specialised licence class.

Position Profile:

In collaboration with the Public Health workforce this position supports the provision of public health disease control programs in the region, and ensures timely case follow-up, contact tracing and outbreak investigation including liaising with relevant health agencies and key stakeholders.
