We are pleased to welcome applications for two Assistant Accountant roles in our corporate Finance team. Reporting to one of two business-unit focused Finance Business Partners, the Assistant Accountants provide support through the management of day-to-day accounting tasks and provision of assistance in the preparation of accurate financial records and reports. Assistant Accountants are responsible for processing transactions, maintaining ledger integrity, and supporting month-end and year-end close activities. These roles ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal policies, assist with reconciliations and audits, and contribute to the continuous improvement of financial processes and controls to support the broader finance function and business objectives.
There are two Assistant Accountant roles available and may be based in Brisbane or Melbourne.
As an ideal candidate for one of these roles, you'll present with:
- Demonstrated post CPA, CA, or equivalent tertiary qualification experience
- Demonstrated experience in a similar role where you've managed day-to-day accounting tasks.
- Demonstrated skills to prepare and communicate financial analysis.
- Proficiency in financial systems and accounting software.
- Knowledge of financial governance and compliance including an understanding of relevant accounting standards, internal controls, and financial policies.
- Strong communication skills, team orientation and an ability to collaborate effectively with various business stakeholders.
Due to the nature of these roles, applicants must hold Australian citizenship and be eligible for Australian Defence security clearance.
