Are you a perfectionist when it comes to craft and detail? The kind of person who spots a misaligned logo or off-brand colour before anyone else. Do you thrive on bringing creative ideas to life with precision, consistency and polish across every touchpoint? If so, we'd love to chat.

ABOUT [AU]:

Activation Union is an independent agency that exists to build brand advocacy and connect with shoppers in the moments they're making a purchase decision. We push creative boundaries to craft immersive brand experiences that captivate audiences and drive results.

We're growing and looking for a
Mid-Senior Finished Artist

You'll take the lead on quality control and rollout across all design collateral, ensuring every piece of work leaving the studio is pixel-perfect, print-ready, and on-brand. Working alongside our designers and producers, you'll be the final gatekeeper of quality, the bridge between creative concept and flawless execution.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

As the Mid–Senior Finished Artist at AU, you'll be responsible for ensuring creative excellence and technical precision across all design outputs, from large-scale campaign rollouts and in-store collateral to digital and print production. You'll bring a sharp eye for detail, strong production knowledge, and a passion for consistency and quality.

You'll play a leading role in setting standards for file setup, artwork best practices, and production handovers, while mentoring junior designers and collaborating closely with creative leads to ensure ideas are executed beautifully and accurately.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead the rollout of campaign collateral across multiple brands, formats and channels (print, digital, OOH, POS, packaging, and experiential)
  • Ensure all artwork meets technical specifications, brand guidelines and production requirements
  • Manage final artwork preparation, pre-press, and handover to suppliers and partners
  • Oversee quality control of all design outputs, maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and finish
  • Execute and oversee retouching tasks including image clean-up, compositing, and colour grading to ensure consistency and excellence across visual assets
  • Collaborate with designers and account teams to resolve artwork challenges and optimise production processes
  • Develop and maintain artwork templates, file setup guides, and version control systems
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior and mid-level designers in artwork standards and best practices
  • Partner with external suppliers and print vendors to ensure materials and finishes are delivered to brief
  • Stay across new production technologies, materials, and methods that can elevate our output

ABOUT YOU:

We're after someone with a technical brain, creative eye, and meticulous attention to detail. You understand that the best creative work only shines when flawlessly executed, and you take pride in being the one who gets it there.

You'll bring:

Experience
: 5+ years of finished art experience in a design, creative, or advertising agency environment
