About the role

Our Social Support Activity Workers are responsible for delivering high-quality, person-centred support within a community aged care setting and assisting in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of activity programs that reflect the unique needs, goals, and preferences of each individual, fostering a supportive and engaging social environment.

Duties & Skills

• Facilitate social groups and activities for clients, including but not limited to singalongs, quiz activities, current affair discussions, and reminiscing sessions.
• Assist with the day program activities and sessions, set up and pack away.
• Working knowledge of those living with dementia.
• Assist with client transport.
• Assist with client's personal care and toileting needs at the centre as required.
• Customer focused with passion for working in aged care.
  
  

Qualifications & Experience

• Cert III Aged Care or Community Services
• Cert IV in Lifestyle & Leisure or extensive experience in running group activities in an aged care environment is desirable.
• First Aid Certificate.
• Australian Drivers Licence.
