Job description
We are looking for a qualified, experienced, self-motivated and detail-oriented tax accountant
who is willing to work in a fast-paced environment. In this role, you will be working closely
with our clients building meaningful client relationships, as well as gaining broad range of
work experience from taxation and accounting to business advice. You will be working as a
part of small, dedicated team with minimal supervision.

About the Role
• Prepare and review financial statements for individuals, companies, trusts, and
partnerships.
• Provide taxation services including preparation of income tax returns, BAS, and other
compliance obligations.
• Prepare tax reconciliations for small to medium sized groups with little guidance.
• Liaise directly with clients, building trusted, long-term relationships through clear
communication and tailored advice.
• Work closely with senior accountants/partners on complex tax matters and advisory
projects.
• Conduct research on tax legislation and regulatory changes to ensure accurate and
compliant advice.
• Contribute to a collaborative team environment, sharing knowledge and supporting
colleagues.
About You
Essentials
• Degree qualified in Accounting/Commerce
• At least 2 years' experience in public practice accounting with exposure to taxation and
business services
• Basic understanding of Australian taxation law with a willingness to deepen your
technical expertise
• Comfortable using accounting software such as Xero, MYOB, or QuickBooks
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering accurate, high-quality work in
a timely manner
• Good communication skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and work well
in a team
• Eager to learn, grow, and take on increasing responsibility under the guidance of senior
accountants
• Positive, proactive, and adaptable with a genuine interest in taxation and business
advisory
Desirables
• Qualification obtained from an Australian institute
• working towards (or planning to commence) CA/CPA
• Australian work experience in a similar role highly regarded
• Currently onshore with full working rights; sponsorship available for right candidate.
