About the role

Bodyshop Paint Supplies Bayswater is seeking an experienced Colour Matcher to join our team in Bayswater, Victoria. As a full-time role, you will be responsible for accurately matching and mixing paint colours, technical advice and helping in the retail shop front.

What you'll be doing

  • Analyse vehicle colour samples to determine the paint formula required.
  • Mix paint batches to colour formulations.
  • Perform quality checks on mixed paint to ensure it meets our high standards.
  • Maintain detailed records of all paint formulas and batches.
  • Maintaining and prioritising workflow.
  • Orgainising stock levels and keeping the paint room in order.
  • Assist with other work place duties as needed to support the team, such as assisting the sales team over the counter in the retail shop.

What we're looking for

  • Experience as a Colour Matcher or Spray painter with trade qualifications or minimum 5 years experience.
  • Excellent colour matching skills and an eye for detail - training provided.
  • Strong knowledge of automotive paint products, formulas and application techniques.
  • Ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure.
  • Good communication skills to liaise with customers and team members.
