The Role:
Your job will be working with us as a part of the paint team, prepping and painting vehicles and parts, monitoring the progress of work to ensure timely delivery, regular communication with management to confirm delivery and priority of work and ensuring all work is of high quality.
Qualified Automotive Spray Painter
The successful applicant will require:
• Relevant trade qualifications
• Knowledge of the vehicle repair industry
• Prepare vehicles and parts for paint
• Assist other painters and preppers as necessary.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team
• High attention to detail
• Be punctual & reliable
• Good work ethic
Your Responsibilities
· Prepare vehicles and parts for painting by cleaning, sanding, masking and priming surfaces.
· Mix and match paint colours accurately using formulas or by eye to ensure colour consistency.
· Apply primers, basecoats and clear coats using spray guns and other specialised equipment.
· Ensure high-quality finishes that meet customer and manufacturer standards.
· Maintain spray booths and equipment ensuring cleanliness, functionality and compliance with safety standards.
· Follow safety procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
· Collaborate with panel beaters and other technicians to coordinate repairs and refinishing.
