The growing demand for our products and services has increased production and we are now seeking experienced Electrical Fitters to join the team at our manufacturing facility in Bundaberg.

About the Role

Our Electrical Fitters assemble, fit, operate, test, fault-find and alter 12v / 24v electrical components of our waste management equipment.  Duties include:

  • Working with computer-controlled operational management systems.
  • Servicing, identifying and repairing faults on electrical systems.
  • Installing and maintaining electrical and electronic equipment including lighting, camera systems, proximity switches, wiring harnesses and control systems, weigh systems and reverse braking.
  • Using meters, test instruments and circuit diagrams to find electrical faults.
  • Repairing or replacing electrical wiring, fuses, lamps, switches and general components.
  • Performing high reliability and accurate work when soldering electrical parts/harnesses.
  • Following schematics and specifications when performing installations and fault finding.
  • Completing all records and paperwork accurately.

About You

  • Previous automotive or heavy vehicle manufacturing industry experience (desirable but not essential)
  • Certificate III in Electrical Fitting (advantageous)
  • Testing and commissioning experience
  • Demonstrated ability to complete panel wiring
  • Ability to read and interpret circuit drawings
  • Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Great problem solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot issues
  • Commitment to safety and following standard work procedures

The preferred candidate will be required to undergo a pre-employment medical which will include a drug and alcohol test.
