We are excited to share a great opportunity with a fast-growing fintech that is well established in APAC. Our client is undergoing a modernisation journey to improve their platform and elevate their business. They are looking for a talented DevOps Systems Engineer to join their operations team and support this effort.

In this role, you will be essential in reducing downtime and service disruptions across various systems, including hardware, operational servers, networking gear, and cloud platforms (preferably Azure). Additionally, you will collaborate with your team to ensure smooth business operations through a combination of project initiatives and BAU activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Optimize and automate CI/CD pipelines.
  • Implement and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions.
  • Administer cloud platforms (AWS/Azure).
  • Support Windows Server and VMware environments.
  • Ensure security compliance (PCI DSS, ISO and manage patching cycles.
  • Participate in incident management and provide on-call support during peak periods to ensure SLA compliance.

Requirements:

  • Over 3 years of experience supporting Windows Server environments (2012 and newer), including managing Group Policies, DNS, and Active Directory.
  • Strong understanding of operating systems, virtualisation platforms (VMware ESXi/VCenter), and networking basics.
  • Knowledge of ITIL frameworks, change management, and security standards like PCI DSS, ISO 27001, and OWASP.
  • Familiar with cloud computing and networking solutions such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, as well as hybrid cloud setups.
  • Experience with cloud and collaboration tools like Microsoft Azure, Office 365, SharePoint Online, Teams, and Jira.
  • Practical experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and infrastructure tools/platforms (Linux, Veeam Backup, WSUS, antivirus software, switches, firewalls, load balancers).
  • Strong skills in scripting and automation using Python, Bash, Ansible, Terraform, or similar.
  • Familiarity with SQL databases including MSSQL, Postgres, Oracle, MariaDB, and Mysql. Proven ability to quickly learn new technologies, supported by formal training or Microsoft certifications (preferred).
